I spent Sunday making an Airfix model of a supermarine spitfire.
The paints, brush & glue were all included and at only £6.99 from eBay, a bargain.
I started at 11am.....
The first part to go together was the incredibly fiddly pilot.
Well, that took 15 mins..
The model on the 'Sprue'
The fuselage clamped with some of Rosie's pegs!
and the wing section which I painted before assembly.
Ta-dah! 8 hours later with the completed model, and the propeller even goes round!!
Voila l'aeroplane! 2 coats of paint and with the decals on, I was well impressed with myself. Not the hardest of kits to stick together, granted, but for a first attempt in 30 odd years, not bad!
The rest of the weekend
Took Rosie for brekky at, yes, you guessed it, Morrisons!
